The house i grew up in sat off a large hill, the front door entered right into the living room, With a large green rug i remember rolling in at Macy’s. I would spend every unscheduled hour playing on that carpet with Playmobile, The large plastic boxes of all of my Playmobile turned upside down (which when put away were sorted by genre, militantly) Sat behind an overstuffed chair. CNN on the television in the corner. As i would reenact the news stories of the day, with these small German pieces of plastic; Shootings, Pricey, and well corporate fraud. My memories are on that carpet, as i would move and set up these intricate reenactments, take pictures and most importantly pretend to be a playmobile Ted Turner.
If only there had been YouTube then or more i knew where my beta-cam tapes are, i would be able to upload my stop action videos i made as a child, the one that stands out is of Godzilla attacking the OJ Simpson Trial.
I remember this because my mother and I went out one weekend trying to see if we could add diversity to the generally homogenous world of Playmobile, which really bothered her. Unfortunately, when we found the ‘diversity’ set it brought up more questions then a more diverse plastic world.

Also, I once got the huge pirate ship for christmas. My dad spent all day putting the rigging and everything together. Then I promptly sat on it, crushing the masts.
